A Study on Factors Affecting Consumer Brand Switching Behavior in Prepaid Telecom with Special Reference to South Gujarat Zone

Title: A Study on Factors Affecting Consumer Brand Switching Behavior in Prepaid Telecom with Special Reference to South Gujarat Zone
Authors: Malek, Parvez Abdulhabib; Dr. Vishal, Khasgiwala
Abstract: This research explores the factors affecting brand switching behaviour among prepaid newlinetelecom consumers in South Gujarat, focusing on understanding the key drivers that lead newlineconsumers to shift from one telecom provider to another. In the highly competitive prepaid newlinetelecom market, where multiple providers offer similar services, consumers frequently make newlinebrand-switching decisions based on various factors such as price sensitivity, network quality, newlinecustomer satisfaction, and promotional offers. The study identifies psychological factors, newlinesuch as trust, emotional attachment, and perceived value, as significant influencers of newlineconsumer decisions. newlineIt uses a descriptive research design that combines both qualitative and quantitative approach newlinees to collect data through structured questionnaires. The study involved 500 participants from newlinefour cities in South Gujarat. To analyze the data and check the hypotheses about how factors newlinelike demographics, service quality and brand loyalty are connected, statistical methods such newlineas descriptive statistics, regression analysis and actor analysis were used. newlineIt uses a descriptive research design, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods to newlinegather data through structured questionnaires, with a sample size of 500 respondents across newlinefour cities in South Gujarat. Statistical techniques, including descriptive statistics, regression newlineanalysis, and factor analysis, were used to analyze the data and test the hypotheses related to newlinethe relationships between demographic factors, service quality, pricing, and brand loyalty. newlineThe findings suggest that while price sensitivity and network quality are the primary drivers newlineof brand switching, factors such as customer satisfaction, trust, and promotional offers also newlineplay significant roles. Additionally, demographic factors like age, income, and education newlineinfluence the likelihood of consumers switching brands. The research concludes by providing newlineactionable insights for telecom operators to improve customer retention strategies

Impact of Demonetization on Non Fund Base Income of Public Sector Banks in India

Title: Impact of Demonetization on Non Fund Base Income of Public Sector Banks in India
Authors: Goswami, Himal Navnitgiri; Dr. Alpa, Joshi
Abstract: The Indian government revealed the demonetization of ₹500 and ₹1,000 currency
notes on November 8, 2016, therefore eliminating more than 86% of the coins in
circulation. Designed to fight black money, fake currency, and promote a move
toward a digital and open economy, this abrupt and important policy change sought to
do so. The statement resulted in quick turbulence in all industries, but particularly in
the banking sector, which had to handle the operational load of currency conversion
and a sharp increase in digital transactions. Although much research has been done on
how demonetization affects cash flow, credit disbursal, and liquidity in the banking
industry, its influence on non-fund-based income (NFBI), a main source of income for
banks, is still somewhat unknown. The goal of this study is to close the gap between
what we know and what we need to know by looking at how demonetization affected
the NFBI of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) in India.
NFBI is the money banks make from things besides interest, such as fees for using
ATMs, sending money, keeping things in lockers, and other banking services, as well
as commissions and service fees. Banks, particularly PSBs, are depending more and
more on NFBI to preserve profitability and guarantee financial stability as
competition gets tougher and interest margins drop. Given this backdrop, knowledge
of how NFBI changes following a policy event like demonetization can help to direct
future banking plans and reforms.
Using a comparative and analytical method, this research looks at how NFBI trends
altered both before and after demonetizing. It looks at a small number of big
government-owned banks in India and uses data from yearly financial reports,
performance reviews, and regulatory papers for the years 2013-14 to 2019-20. The
data has been classified into two distinct phases: the pre-demonetization period (2013-
14 to 2015-16) and the post-demonetization period (2016-17 to 2019-20). The aim is
to determine whether the NFBI of these banks was significantly affected by the
demonetization policy and to what degree the change in income patterns could be
ascribed to this policy intervention.
The study looks at the variation in NFBI throughout the chosen time range using
quantitative techniques including ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) and paired t-tests.
These methods allow for a robust statistical analysis of whether observed changes in
NFBI are significant or due to random fluctuations. Ratio analysis is another feature
of the study whereby NFBI is computed as a percentage of total income for every
bank. This permits a relative comparison that takes into account differences in general
income levels.

Title: A Study on Financial Health of Selected FMCG Companies Of India by Using Data Envelopment Analysis Model
Authors: Zala, Sanjay Kalusinh; Dr. Divyarajsinh, Zala
Abstract: India is among the rapidly growing economies globally, characterized by a large
population and vast geographical area. Multiple sectors contribute significantly to the
nation’s economic growth, and the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is
a key player among them. The FMCG sector plays a vital role not only in economic
development but also in enhancing the everyday lives of people.
The research work title is
“A Study on Financial Health of Selected FMCG Companies of India by using
Data Envelopment Analysis Model”
The present research study aims to assess the financial health of selected Indian FMCG
companies using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model. The study is based
entirely on secondary data, primarily obtained from the published annual reports of the
selected companies. Additional secondary sources such as books and scholarly journals
related to DEA methodology and the FMCG sector have also been utilized to support
the analysis.
This research work is organized into six chapters. Chapter One provides an overview
of the FMCG industry in India. Chapter Two presents the conceptual framework,
focusing on the notions of financial health and the DEA model. Chapter Three
contains a comprehensive review of relevant literature. Chapter Four outlines the
research methodology employed in the study. Chapter Five includes data analysis and
interpretation, while Chapter Six concludes with key findings and suggestions based
on the research outcomes.
