Title: Eco- Friendly Process for The Preparation of Bio Diesel Using Supported Soliid Acid Catalyst
Authors: Joshi, Parthkumar B.; Kanzariya, Hitesh M.
Abstract: Biodiesel production was carried out by using cotton seed oil and catalyst B-ADSASi
(B-Alanine di sulfonic acid Silica), To characterize the biodiesel and catalyst B-ADSA-Si
produced, different standard tests were carried out. Besides standard tests, FTIR
spectroscopy biodiesel and catalyst was also performed. Results reveal that characteristics
of biodiesel depend on the feed stock and characteristic of catalyst. The best combination
of properties is obtained from Cotton seed oil-based Biodiesel. Biodiesel produced from
waste vegetable oil was also found very convenient to be used and properties were comparable
to an ordinary diesel fuel.
