dc.description.abstractProstate cancer is a major public health problem in nations that have an affluent culture with an aging population. Over the last decade the development of chemopreowering the risk of prostate cancer. Lycopene is the most potent antioxidant among various common carotenoids.However, many research, laboratory and clinicalstudies are now underway with the goal of assessing the abilityof pure lycopene to serve as a chemopreventive agent for prostateand other malignancies. The present study focuses on the detail about lycopene. In the near future, lycopene can be used in clinical and epidemiologicstudies, providing hope that the next generation will benefit from this knowledge and thus experience a lower risk of prostate cancer.en_US
