This research paper aims to delve into the rich and diverse world of Greek mythology. Greek mythology, the body of myths belonging to the ancient Greeks, serves as a lens through which to explore their religious and cultural beliefs, values, and practices. The paper begins by tracing the evolution of Greek myth from the earliest oral traditions to its codification in written form. Next, it discusses the role of myth in ancient Greek society, examining the ways in which myths were used to explain natural phenomena, to provide moral guidance, and to entertain. The paper then examines the major gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon, including Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, and Athena, as well as the heroic myths of Heracles, Jason and the Argonauts, and Perseus. Finally, the paper explores the influence of Greek myth on later cultures, including the Romans and the Western literary tradition, and the enduring appeal of these myths in the modern world. By presenting an overview of Greek mythology and its evolution, this research paper seeks to shed light on the significance of this rich cultural heritage and to provide a deeper understanding of the ancient Greeks and their beliefsen_US
