Abstract: This study observes how important mentors are to helping undergraduate students develop personally. Students have new difficulties and opportunities when they go from secondary to higher school, making mentoring important to their entire growth. This study explores the complex effects of mentoring on a range of aspects of personal development, namely communication, mutual bonding, emotive intellect, and self-awareness. The study explores the ways that mentoring fosters personal development by using qualitative data gathered from undergraduate students. The study emphasizes the value of relationships between mentors and mentees in developing students’ adaptability and confidence. The study highlights the value of mentoring programs at higher education institutions and provides guidance for teachers, administrators, and policymakers who want to improve personal development of students which is mentioned in NEP 2020 also.
