| Abstract: | Research capacity building is a core priority within higher education institutions, and academic libraries play a pivotal role in enabling this process. This paper presents a case study of the Library and Learning Centre (LLC) at Atmiya University, illustrating how a structured, multi-level approach to information literacy, digital literacy, scholarly communication, and research support significantly strengthens institutional research culture. Atmiya University, with its modern Outcome Based Education (OBE) framework and value-integrated academic structure, provides an ecosystem in which the library has strategically embedded research-enabling services across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and faculty development programmes. The LLC offers comprehensive interventions—ranging from compulsory credit courses for undergraduates and tailored information literacy modules for research scholars to routine awareness programmes for faculty. Additional engagement models such as the Earn While You Learn Scheme and the Social Internship Programme further foster research skills, critical thinking, and practical exposure. Evidence of impact is reflected in substantial growth in document delivery requests, plagiarism check usage, and student participation in internship activities. Findings demonstrate that an integrated and collaborative library-led framework can enhance research productivity, promote ethical scholarship, and cultivate lifelong learning competencies. The case of Atmiya University underscores the potential of academic libraries to evolve from support units into active partners in institutional research development. |
