dc.description.abstract | An efficient and convenient procedure has been developed for the synthesis of some new N-substituted piperidine derivatives like 2-((4-chloro-4-(4-chlorophenyl)piperidin-1-yl)(2-chlorophenyl)methyl)-5-aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles 5a-j and N'-arylidene-2-(2-chlorophenyl)-2-(4-(4-chlorophenyl)- 4-hydroxypiperidin-1-yl) acetohydrazides 6a-j. The structures of the new compounds have been evaluated on the basis of FT-IR, 1H NMR and mass spectroscopy data. They have also been screened for their antimicrobial activities against various strains of bacteria and fungi. | en_US |
