Abstract: Biodiesel is a renewable alternative fuel that can be produced from various feedstocks, including vegetable oils and animal fats. Heterogeneous acid catalysts have emerged as a promising alternative to traditional homogeneous catalysts for the synthesis of biodiesel due to their easy separation, reusability, and environmental friendliness. This paper presents an abstract for the synthesis of biodiesel from a heterogeneous acid catalyst. (1) The process involves the transesterification of the feedstock with an alcohol in the presence of a heterogeneous acid catalyst, which results in the production of biodiesel and glycerol as a by-product. The performance of the catalyst is influenced by various factors such as the type of acid, the type of support, and the reaction conditions. The use of heterogeneous acid catalysts for biodiesel synthesis is a promising approach that can lead to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly production process.
